Microsoft 365 Search Outage Hits Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive — Still Being Resolved
Microsoft confirmed that some users are experiencing issues searching in Microsoft 365 apps including Outlook on the web, Outlook desktop, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive. This follows the massive July 23 West US region outage caused by an automated maintenance bug that incorrectly removed IP routes from more network devices than intended. No workaround confirmed; Microsoft advises monitoring the Service Health Dashboard (admin.microsoft.com) for updates.

Users have reported being unable to access the Hunting section of the Azure Sentinel portal, with the page constantly looping across multiple devices and different networks. As of August 24 2026 the broader Azure service status shows operational, but isolated Sentinel issues persist for some tenants. Workaround: attempt access via direct Sentinel URL or raise a support ticket through the M365 Admin Center.
